Art Nouveau Canvases

These ready-to-paint canvases feature the Art Nouveau work of Czech artist Alphonse Mucha.  From about 1890-1910, Art Nouveau was a popular style of design that featured graceful, flowing curves. It included decorative arts, architecture, jewelry, pottery, glass, and illustrations.

Mucha lived and studied in Paris. He became an overnight Paris sensation when he created an Art Nouveau poster of actress Sarah Bernhardt. Copies of the life-sized illustration hung all over the streets of Paris and caused a stir. That, in turn, opened a lot of doors for Mucha, making him the most sought out commercial artist in the city and the most prolific illustrator of the Art Nouveau period.
